³¹ Now it happened, as though it had been a trivial thing for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, that ^(A)he took Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal king of the ^(B)Sidonians as a wife, and went and served Baal and worshiped him. ³² So he erected an altar for Baal in ^(C)the house of Baal which he built in Samaria. ³³ Ahab also made ^(D)the ^[a]Asherah. Thus ^(E)Ahab did more to provoke Yahweh, the God of Israel, to anger than all the kings of Israel who were before him.
